Sudbury's centre contains a significant amount of protected historic fabric. In a timber-framed building you cannot core through structural members, flue terminations on a protected elevation may not be acceptable, and lifting a historic floor to run pipework is a bigger decision than in a modern house.

The practical approach is to design the installation around the building rather than the other way round: choose an appliance position that has a viable flue route, plan pipe runs along existing service voids or concealed routes, and agree with you in advance what will be visible. All of that is settled at quotation stage.
